


























Yep. Every 4 to 8 weeks you pick a new color combo. Match your team, your mood, the season, whatever. The rubber bands that hold your wire in place (called ligatures) come in dozens of colors. It's one of the best parts of having braces. Your smile, your call.
Not at all. Braces won't bench you. Contact sports? We can talk mouthguard options at your next visit. Wind or brass instruments? Give it a few days while your lips adjust to the brackets. Most patients are back to playing within a week.
Look around your school. Braces are everywhere. And you get to pick your colors and make them yours. Real talk: a lot of our teen patients were dreading it before they started. Then they ended up showing off their colors at every adjustment. Confidence has a way of sneaking up on you.

A little. You'll feel pressure and tenderness for a few days after each adjustment. Not sharp pain. More like a dull reminder that things are moving. It fades within a week. Pop some ibuprofen and you're good.
